Reminder - STEM Night Volunteers Needed!

A reminder that STEM day and night {Science, Technology, Engineering, Math} is coming up fast - Wednesday February 28th for the grade 7 & 8 students and Thursday March 1 for students from kindergarten to grade 6.

We still need several volunteers to assist, including preparation of materials for this amazing event, parents to run activities during the day and evening, and people to set up and clean up. The total number of volunteers needed to make this happen is almost 200!!! We did it last year [very successfully] and we can do it again :)

Please take a look at the giant list and see where you can fit yourself in. Any amount of time you can assist is greatly appreciated. Presently, we have no volunteers for Friday February 9 and we need 23 of them.

Thank you to all the amazing Fern parents, who provide assistance to make these amazing events happen!!!

Choir Performing at the Spring Concert

Dear Families,  We are so happy to have such a large enthusiastic choir!   Fern's wonderful students in Choir have been practicing two songs for the Spring Concert on April 18th.  They are: The Best Day of my life and My Own Superhero. Here are some notes regarding the Spring Concert:  *We will be walking to Parkdale Collegiate for a run through after morning attendance on Thursday April the 18th at 9:20 am.  (Two primary of our classes will be on a field trip and choir members in those classes will not attend the run through. ) **Volunteers are very welcome to walk with the Choir to and from Parkdale Collegiate. (Meet at 9 am at Fern)   *We aim to be back by lunch, however sometimes runthroughs take a while. Therefore please pack snacks and water with your child for the day. We will eat lunch when we return.     * The evening of The concert, students are to be at Parkdale Collegiate for 6:00 PM . * Students in the concert are encouraged to wear all black.  *Caregiver/ Parent pick
